Keeping your aquarium clean

To many people, keeping your aquarium clean may seem like a chore, it is by far the most important step in owning fish. While feeding your fish is important to their survival, it is equally important to provide them with a clean environment to live.
First and foremost; the toughest problem you will run into is maintaining algae growth to a minimum. Unfortunately, this stuff grows so fast it is hard to keep up! However, there are means of keeping your aquarium relatively algae free by the means of adding in another fish or two! Some such algae eating fish are:

• Chinese Algae Eater
• Catfish
• Flying Fox
• Snails

While this is a great start, you should also visit your local reptile and fish supply store for much-needed cleaning supplies. You should invest in a heavy-duty filter to aid in the cleaning process. You should take a list with you to your supply store; whether it is online or offline, which has been created for your choice of aquarium.
