 The aquarium set up checklist you will use will depend on the type of tank you wish to set up. Simply because freshwater and saltwater tanks and fish will vary in the different items that you will need to keep happy, healthy fish.
    The following items are some of the things you will need to create the perfect saltwater tank:

• Filters and filtration equipment
• Substrate
• Shelter (IE: hiding rocks and plants)
• Heater
• Thermometer
• Sea salt mix/saltwater
• Hydrometer
• Test kit or kits
• Additives and supplements
• Maintenance tools
• Power head
• Protein skimmer
• Air pump (and or air stones)
• Tap water filter
• Quarantine tank
• Dechlorinator
• Right now bacteria
• Automatic doser
• Wave maker
• Chiller

      If you choose to make a freshwater aquarium setup; you will need the following:

• Heater
• Thermometer
• Aquarium substrates
• Decorations or backgrounds
• Water conditioner
