Aquarium heaters

Aquarium heaters are an important part in the health and wellness of your fish. Unlike a human, a fish does not produce their own body heat. Causing them to rely greatly on the overall temperature of the surrounding water for their body heat; making a heater the central need for all fish.
When choosing a heater you should take into consideration the type of fish you have, along with your own personal preference of heaters. The style of aquarium heaters vary; from inexpensive to expensive, to automatic to manual. Making it important for you to consider all of the pluses and minuses of each type of heater before making your decision; if you are having trouble choosing a heater, ask your friendly fish expert for their advice!
The immersible or (hang-on) heater is one of the least expensive styles of aquarium heaters on the market. The only minus is the fact that the controls MUST remain above the waterline, otherwise it could cause the heater to break.
The other more popular styles of heaters are the Submersible heater, substrate heater, and the filter heater; all of which can be found at your local reptile and fish retailer.
